Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 2026 — The Digital Baron

1. Who We Are

Future-Proof Kids is published and sold by The Digital Baron, operated by Idan Baron. When you purchase a product or create an account on this site, The Digital Baron acts as the data controller for your personal information. You can reach us at idan@thedigitalbaron.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to fulfill your order and provide access to digital products:

  • Name and email address — provided when you create an account or complete a purchase.
  • Shipping address — required only for physical book orders, passed to our fulfillment partner for shipping.
  • Payment information — processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or full payment details.
  • Usage data — anonymized interaction events (page views, feature usage) collected via PostHog to help us improve the site and toolkit.
  • Browser/device data — standard technical metadata (browser type, OS, referring URL) captured by our hosting provider, Vercel, in server logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Order fulfillment — to process payments, deliver digital products, and coordinate book fulfillment and shipping.
  • Account access — to authenticate you to the Digital Toolkit dashboard via Supabase.
  • Transactional email — to send order confirmations, download links, and account notifications via Resend.
  • Product improvement — aggregated, anonymized analytics (PostHog) help us understand which toolkit features are most useful.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the site and fulfill orders. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Your card data is handled exclusively by Stripe and subject to their PCI-DSS compliance standards.
  • Supabase— user authentication and account storage. Your email and hashed password are stored in Supabase's managed database.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (order confirmations, download links).
  • PostHog — product analytics. We use PostHog in a privacy-friendly configuration; IP addresses are not stored and data is not used for advertising.
  • Vercel — hosting and edge delivery. Vercel collects standard server logs as part of infrastructure operation.
  • Lulu Direct — book printing and fulfillment for physical book orders. Your name and shipping address are shared with Lulu solely to fulfill and ship your order.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We use a single localStorage key to remember your theme preference (light or dark). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. PostHog sets a first-party cookie to distinguish unique sessions; this cookie contains no personally identifiable information.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and order data for as long as your account is active or as required by applicable law (e.g., invoice records for tax purposes). If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (including under GDPR and similar laws), you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at idan@thedigitalbaron.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
